its the 31st of december, the last day of each year. 2008 has been a remarkable year, with many unexpected surprises as well as shocking disasters. this year was the year that China made its mark on the world, from the Sichuan quake that shattered many people's lives and bonded the world (at least i think more or less) and a rather large snowstorm(probably the biggest in a centuryO.o) at the start of the year to the amazingly spectacular beijing olympics where Singapore set a milestone: by winning our first silver medal =)  the no. of world records beaten during that event speaks for itself. so many things that happens once every hundred years happened this year xD anyway, following the earthquake, there was the cyclone. later in the year, america voted for its first black president, mr obama amidst one of the worst financial meltdowns ever.(boy do i sound like a news reporter >.<) and personally, id like to say a big big THANK YOU to 210'08 and everyone who made this such a great year. so goodbye 2008, you've given us a lot of surprises and hello 2009. i wish everyone a happy new year and good luck in everything you do =)
