i think i might actually be starting to like CIP in the library...
ye might actually be surprised but it is kinda fun when you are more familiar with the library (and the staff) AND it obviously beats a day at home lazing around and feeling bored out of your mind.
so today, i went to do CIP again (i must tell you that now whenever i close my eyes, is see rows and rows AND ROWS of books. i can tell you exactly what colour matches what no. and what letter. so can yunan. it all comes from doing so much work at the library. XD) and i think some how, the escalators were switched....but anyway, xy came to do CIP today. perculiarly, the library's sliding doors were not OPEN to give us a warm welcome... there was a metal grill thingamajiggy so we were stuck outside for like a really long time. the back door wasnt even open. sigh.then FINALLY this uncle came and opened the door and we went in.
so first thing we had to do (as usual) was to straighten the books. it seems like not a lot of people do CIP now... i only saw yunan, xy and an indian guy doing. AND the librarians seem to have this habit of splitting us up. .. >= its super boring doing it alone...but at least there was the radio for some time so it wasnt that bad. haiya. dunno why the children's section is like super messy everyday lor. like a tornado tore through or something... oh well they are children... so when i FINALLY finished straightening the JP info section, nanan and i went to ask for stuff to do. expectedly, we got shelving. OMG the trolley was hideous. as in by hideous i dun mean ugly but REALLY REALLY full. AND to top it off, the librarian told us to take more books. the poor trolley. then, nanan and i proceeded to organise the trolley (at least one side of the trolley) oh gosh. that was horrid....there happened to be a whole lot of "z"s dunno why. and when we FINALLy managed it, we pushed it to that section and started shelving. then the librarian was so nice and help us to the numeral section. lucky she did. by the time we finished the letters, and a little of the numbers, we finished our 3 hr shift. how satisfactory.
while we were signing out, the librarian at the counter commented on me t-shirt and i was like =.=""""".... but nvm. then we went to popular to buy the txtbks ( or rather more specifically, yunan bought the books while i just tagged along to provide companionship and a personto argue with) then when we were talking about the two people yunan felt like boxing because they were daoing her ( i happened to be one of the unlucky two -.-" BUT i didnt know she called me coz me phone was on SILENT!!) so i checked my phone and lo and behold, there were 19 missed calls from my mum. i was like o.o *jaw drop* in the end, whe wanted me to buy medicine for my sis. that irritating sis. (since its kinda boring from now on i will keep it short and simple) so i went, i saw, too expensive, my mum's turn for jaw dropping, she yelled, i hung up, and needless to say, i went home without the medicine but got a very going-to-box-my-face yunan. XD just joking.
while i was going home, this auntie came up to me and asked me if 187 to jurong pt departs from this side, or over the road. how am is supposed to know??!?!?! and when i crossed the road, another surprise awaited me (and surprisingly, or maybe not, it had something to do with 187) in the form of mr. panda bear aka limey. i was shocked, but at least my jaw didnt drop. i dun think he actually rmbs me, considering the fact that i didnt actually participate actively in philo discussions. hence this concludes my day outside.
i hate staying home, i mean it was nice when the school term was busy but NOW its totally boring. someone should suggest an alternate week kinda thing...
--a random outburst me...
unforgettable memories,
they stay with us, forever.
